ASSYST is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Network Engineer to join our State Government client in Boca Raton, FL.

Must have active CCNA and CCDA certifications

Job Description

• As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have: Design, configure, and maintain complex enterprise network infrastructure.
• Managing Layer 2 and 3 protocols including routers and switches. Focus on sustaining the necessary data throughput rate by monitoring network activity to mitigate performance problems.
• Proactive monitoring and troubleshooting connectivity for the FTE’s Network Infrastructure including campus, roadside, backbone, LAN, Walk-in Centers, partner networks &third-party connectivity.
• Review FTE’s network architecture and design including failover capabilities and recommend changes to optimize performance and reliability.
• Implement and oversee network security measures, including access controls, segmentation, and disaster recovery plans.
• Leverage SolarWinds to create dashboards to monitor the Network Infrastructure and proactively troubleshoot performance & connectivity issues, including management reporting dashboards.
• Monitor and deploy patches and updates to all network infrastructure routers, switches, firewalls, and other supporting equipment.
• Support Network and Security Operations team in designing Cloud architecture. This includes capacity, failover, stability, and security design.
• Develop and maintain network infrastructure diagrams and depict any changes along with associated documentation including change control approvals

Required Qualifications:

• Must have 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience with: Unix (RedHat), Windows, VMWare, and other platforms
• Layer 2/3 routing protocols including troubleshooting complex issues.
• Deployment and management of routers and switches
• Private, Public, and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructures such as AWS, Azure platforms

Certification:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA – REQUIRED)
• Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA – REQUIRED)
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE – preferred)
