Senior Network Consultant/Engineer (Job Ref:#300) Responsibilities Work with other Pangea consultants to design and implement TCP/IP and Netbios networks. You will be called upon to establish and implement firewalls, Internet connectivity and Web server load balancers. You should have a thorough understanding of RIP and OSPF. You must be able to setup WANs including Frame-Relay, DS1, DS3, ISDN, ADSL, and dial-on-demand networking. BGP experience will ensure a closer look. You will be challenged to setup and recommend advanced firewall and fault-tolerant server farm architectures. You will be called upon to establish NAT, PAT, and VPN technologies and to deploy Voice over IP solutions and Multicast technologies. Knowledge of ATM technologies a plus. Qualifications Experience should include a solid understanding of routers, switches, DNS, DHCP, WINS, and SNMP. You should have a thorough knowledge and experience with Cisco routers and switches. Strong network analysis skills including a thorough understanding of protocols and the ability to use Sniffers and SNMP management tools are a must. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, is a plus. IPX/SPX and Appletalk experience a plus. Santa Clara County, CA/US residents only.
