We’re looking for a passionate React Native Mobile Engineer who loves building beautiful, performant mobile apps and wants to make a real difference in women’s health. Role Overview:

As a Mobile Engineer at Hormona, your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining our React Native app built with Expo. You’ll work closely with product, design, and data teams to deliver impactful features, improve performance, and ensure a seamless user experience on both iOS and Android.

We’re looking for someone who cares deeply about mobile app quality, enjoys solving real-world user problems, and wants to work in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.Key

Responsibilities:

• React Native Development: Lead feature development using React Native (Expo), ensuring smooth performance and native-like UX.
• UI/UX Implementation: Collaborate with designers to translate Figma designs into polished mobile interfaces.
• Mobile Performance: Continuously optimize app speed, responsiveness, and stability.
• Data-Driven Improvements: Use analytics and feedback to improve features and user flows.
• Testing & Quality: Write clean, maintainable code with strong test coverage and attention to detail.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with PMs, designers, and QA to ensure timely, high-quality releases.
• Security & Compliance: Help keep our mobile app secure and compliant with health data regulations (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA).
• Innovation: Contribute ideas, explore new technologies, and help us stay ahead in mobile health-tech.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in mobile app development, with strong focus on React Native (Expo).
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture, performance optimization, and debugging.
• Experience publishing apps to the App Store and Google Play.
• Familiar with mobile analytics tools (e.g. Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude).
• Strong attention to UI detail and a user-first mindset.
• Experience working in agile teams and with CI/CD workflows for mobile.
• Passion for building products that make a real-world impact.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with NestJS (TypeScript), PostgreSQL, or building/maintaining backend APIs.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud services.
• Experience in health-tech, subscription-based apps, or wellness platforms.
• Background in A/B testing, user behavior analysis, or mobile growth strategies.
• Exposure to machine learning, personalization, or predictive features.
• Understanding of health data regulations like HIPAA and GDPR.
