With incoming data inflow of ~1 million tweets per day to analyze, we’re looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to build quick, performant, reliable systems on these data. As a first dedicated ML specialist in the team, you’ll have the opportunity to bring many impactful models to delight the user experience. The quality of our ML systems is an important pillar of the competitive advantage of Wallchain.

As part of the team you’ll:

• Build and optimize ML algorithms to scale: work with massive datasets, build knowledge distillation pipelines, deploy systems to production, monitor and iterate.
• Be the primary ML contributor to the development of new projects at Wallchain.
• Implement and ship LLM-based prototypes to create immediate value for users.

Skills

• High level of mathematical intuition
• At least 6 years of combined experience (2+ years in Software Engineering, 2+ years in ML)
• Strong ML skillset: sklearn, pandas, NN (TF/PyTorch, PyTorch preferred)
• Hands on experience with LLMs: Prompt Engineering, Vector DBs, Fine-tuning, RAG, Agents
• Algorithmic knowledge: ability to come up with clever and resilient algorithms
• Strong Research Skills: analyze SOTA papers, search for existing solutions
• Engineering skills to write code for future maintainability and reusability (+design patterns, +SOLID)
• English: good enough to read and write code documentation
• Nice to have: experience building data pipelines
• Nice to have: experience with ML systems on GCP

IMPORTANT - This role focuses on ML engineering, with high-level coding practices. The responsibilities will be almost solely Machine Learning systems development, but the quality of the resulting codebase should be as high as the backend code.
