Summary

Celtic Engineering, Inc., leader in mechanical / machine-design and specialty engineering within the entertainment, industrial, and aerospace industries, seeks a Senior Mechanical Project Manager for our Windermere, FL office.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated mechanical engineer with project management experience who will proactively manage projects with minimal supervision. Candidates with a Florida PE License or the ability to obtain a Florida PE license within 12-18 months of hire date will be considered with preference.

As a seasoned Senior Mechanical Project Manager, you will oversee the planning and execution of complex engineering projects while nurturing your project and team leadership skills, and enhancing the abilities of engineers working with you. You will also have the option to grow further as a technical expert or into Project Leadership.

Your Contributions to Our Team:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of your projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Collaborate with the EOR or technical lead to develop workflows and task planning for the technical approach including project schedule, budget
  • As a technical manager, you may also lead the design and analysis planning, providing direction for the team and the client
  • Lead and encourage creative formulation of designs, evaluation of alternatives to design and analysis approaches
  • Identify potential technical and project risks, and develop mitigation strategies to address them
  • Present engineering progress, updates, and challenges to leadership in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Mentor and develop the engineering team working under your direction.
  • Demonstrate engineering creativity, flexibility, and adaptability to satisfy the client and the engineer’s obligation to the public.
  • Review and approve engineering plans, designs, and specifications to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Champion thorough checking and QAQC of work under your direction


What Contributions Do You Bring with You?

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (required).
  • Graduate degree with emphasis in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not required.
  • 10+ years minimum experience working with the analysis and design of mechanisms and mechanical systems.
  • Working or proficient knowledge Solid Works and/or Ansys.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in a US state (preferred, not required).
  • Robust familiarity with machine-style manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings, including weldments and tolerancing, fabrication and assembly methods
  • Working knowledge to proficiency with hazard analysis, & failure modes and effects analysis
