Overview:

We’re currently supporting a key client in Overijssel who is looking for a self-supporting Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a project basis. The company specialises in the development of mechanical and industrial equipment, primarily working with metal and OAM (Other Additive Materials).

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently develop and work out mechanical concepts into full 3D designs
• Use SolidWorks and PDM (Product Data Management) to design and manage components
• Translate technical requirements into manufacturable solutions
• Collaborate with internal teams (production, procurement) for alignment on feasibility and cost
• Deliver complete technical documentation, BOMs, and production drawings
• Focused on both new product development and optimization of existing systems

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in mechanical/industrial equipment design
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM
• Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks from concept to release
• Professional, task-oriented, and quality-focused work ethic
• Familiarity with metalworking and additive manufacturing materials (OAM)
• Fluent in Dutch or English
