Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Sigray, Inc. in Benicia, CA. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing complex mechanical systems, such as high resolution x-ray microscopes and high throughput semiconductor equipment. This role is reserved for a highly experienced engineer who has worked on complex equipment (e.g., 1000+ parts or more assemblies from scratch).

Qualifications

• Comfortable with prototype design from a blank canvas
• 5+ years' Experience building complex mechanical assemblies, such as semiconductor equipment or a synchrotron beamlines
• Experience with Solidworks
• Ability to interact with physicist collaborators to define requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
