ABOUT BALLET CO.LABORATORY
Ballet Co.Laboratory is Minnesota’s largest professional ballet company and school. Serving more than 10,000 individuals annually, the organization challenges ballet’s “traditions to exclude” by creating new dance works and education programs that celebrate individuality.
Founded in 2018 and led by Artistic Director Zoé Henrot and Managing Director Rachel Koep, Ballet Co.Laboratory is nationally recognized for reimagining how ballet is taught, created, and presented. Rejecting the notion that ballet must conform to a singular mold, the organization embraces dancers of all body types, gender identities, ethnicities, ages, and learning styles.
With a dynamic ensemble of professional dancers, Ballet Co.Laboratory creates groundbreaking classical and contemporary ballet works. From bold reimaginations of ballet classics to original productions that illuminate new narratives, they merge technical excellence with storytelling that captivates and inspires today’s audiences.
Beyond the stage, Ballet Co.Laboratory offers dance classes for all ages and skill levels, along with meaningful outreach programs that bring professional dance experiences to underserved communities.
