Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Director for Curriculum Development, the Senior Manager/Manager is part of the team in conceptualizing the masterplan for building curriculum design and development capabilities in Hua Mei Training Academy (HMTA).


Responsibilities

  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content
  • Formulate and promulgate relevant frameworks to improve formal learning, and ensure that the curriculum development standards in the HMTA align with industry practices and trends
  • Analyse, evaluate, and improve the quality of learning, curriculum and learning designs in terms of effectiveness, efficiency and engagement
  • Lead the development of effective blended learning based on e-learning, classroom-based training and workplace learning to support HMTA’s direction
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished products
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training needs
  • Set instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course
  • Adopt research-based assessments and pedagogical approaches and evidenced-based practices to develop relevant and customized curriculum and assessment programs
  • Provide specialist advice to liaise and network with trainers and instructors to ensure that vocational learning standards are relevant and market-driven
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders


Requirements:

  • Possess a WSQ Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE)/ WSQ Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP)
  • Preferably a Degree in Social Work/Psychology/Counselling/ Occupational Therapy/ Physiotherapy
  • Preferably with some years of working experience in the Community/Elder Care sector
  • Bachelor degree/ MA degree/ Post-graduate diploma in instructional design, educational technology or similar relevant field is good but not a must-have
  • Previous working experience in instructional design for 3 - 5 years
  • Previous working experience in blended and e-learning design
  • Previous experience working with the older persons
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Familiar with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)/ AIC funded programmes will be an advantage


We offer a competitive base salary range of SGD $5500 to $7500 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
