YOUR IMPACT

The Senior Manager of Software Engineering will lead multiple teams of talented software engineers to design, develop, and maintain high-quality solutions and products for the platform. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and technical oversight to drive innovation and ensure the successful delivery of software projects that meet business objectives and customer needs.


● Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

● Conduct regular performance reviews, set individual and team goals, and support professional development.

● Drive best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, automated testing, and documentation.

● Plan, execute, and deliver software projects in an agile environment, on time and within budget.

● Collaborate with product management, UX, architecture, and other cross-functional teams to define project requirements and scope.

● Collaborate with support and other stakeholders to manage escalations and drive quality improvements across the teams.

● Collect, analyze, and report key engineering performance indicators. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

● Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team.

● Drive technical excellence and continuous improvement in software engineering processes and tools.

● Participate in the design, development, and review of software architecture and code.

● Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

● Promote and lead the adoption of agile methodologies and practices within the teams.

● Facilitate effective communication within the engineering team and with other departments.

● Manage resource allocation and workload distribution within the team.

● Identify and address skill gaps within the team, ensuring a balanced mix of skills and experience.

● Lead and drive the hiring and onboarding of new team members.


YOUR EXPERIENCE

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

● Minimum of 9 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or management role.

● Proven track record of successfully delivering software projects.

● Experience with agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).

● Strong leadership and team management skills.

● Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

● Proficiency in programming languages and software development frameworks, specifically C++, Java, and Javascript

● Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.

● Strong experience with networking and file transfer protocols, network security, and encryption

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and containerization (e.g., Docker Kubernetes)

● Experience implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

● Ability to work in globally distributed engineering organizations.
