We are looking for a Senior Manager, Product Engineering to lead this cross-functional effort.

Position Summary:

As Senior Manager, Product Engineering, you will lead the development of SiLC’s hardware products—from concept to production. You will manage a diverse team of engineers spanning analog/mixed-signal and RF ASIC design, and mechanical and thermal engineering. A key focus of this role is to drive the architecture, design, and validation of complex ASICs that form the core of our advanced sensing modules.

This position demands strong technical acumen, cross-disciplinary leadership, and a systems-level understanding to guide development across electrical, photonics, and mechanical domains.

Responsibilities:

·        Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team, including:

o  Analog, RF, and mixed-signal ASIC and PCB designers

o  Mechanical and thermal engineers

·        Drive ASIC development lifecycle: system definition, architecture, simulation, layout, verification, and bring-up

·        Lead integration of ASICs into broader hardware platforms (PCB, optics, firmware, mechanical packaging)

·        Guide PCB development, system validation, and debug in a lab setting

·        Coordinate mechanical design, thermal analysis, and packaging to ensure robust product performance

·        Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with photonics, laser, and system teams

·        Lead hiring, mentoring, and career development for the Product Engineering team

·        Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure component availability and procurement alignment with engineering timelines

·        Support vendor selection, qualification, and technical engagement for key ASIC, PCB, mechanical, and embedded system components

·        Work with manufacturing and supply partners to resolve technical issues during ramp-up and production

Qualifications:

·        PhD with 5+ years or MSc with 8+ years in Electrical Engineering

·        Deep experience in custom ASIC design, including analog, RF, and mixed-signal blocks

·        Proven track record in managing cross-functional hardware development

·        Familiarity with mechanical and thermal design principles in complex electronics systems

·        Skilled in system-level debugging and test automation

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Experience in photonics or LiDAR system development

·        Familiarity with TIA design, low-noise laser drivers, and high-speed data interfaces

·        Proficient with ASIC design tools (Cadence, Synopsys), simulation environments, and verification methodologies

·        Exposure to thermal simulation tools (e.g., Ansys, FloTHERM) and mechanical CAD (SolidWorks, Creo)

·        Comfortable working with MATLAB, Python, or similar tools for algorithm modeling

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base salary: $160,000 to $210,000, depending on experience and qualifications
• Significant equity compensation tied to company milestones
