Smart Data Solutions, a leading provider of data management, claim routing and workflow solutions to health plans and TPAs, is looking for a Senior Manager of Infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing?

Planning

• Establish strategies and engage in planning for infrastructure projects that meet SDS business objectives.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in both the technical environment and operational environment.
• Initiate, negotiate, and execute vendor orders for hardware and software to meet current operational and growth goals.
  
  

Execution

• Manage and direct infrastructure projects from beginning to completion.
• Establish achievable timeframes for all tasks and projects.
• Ensure regular progress and on-time completion of projects.
  
  

Performance

• Ensure that the performance of all systems is continuously monitored and managed, intervening promptly to remedy any performance degradations.
• Work with team to plan and identify and execute performance improvement projects.
  
  

Capacity

• Ensure that the storage, memory, and processing capacity of all systems is continuously monitored and managed, intervening promptly to remedy any at-risk areas.
• Plan capacity expansions in alignment with business growth projections
• Work with team to plan and identify and execute capacity improvement projects.
  
  

Availability

• Ensure that all systems are continuously monitored for availability, and that immediate action is taken upon the occurrence of any availability incident.
• Identify availability weak points in the infrastructure, plan and execute remediation projects.
• Identify redundancy and high availability opportunities, plan and execute projects to implement.
  
  

Security

• Integrate SDS security policies and best practices into all aspects of technical systems and operations.
• Work with SDS security team to identify opportunities for security enhancement throughout the organization.
• Collaborate and cooperate with the SDS security team to help address and remediate issues related to:
• System vulnerabilities, internal and external
• Device non-compliance as detected by endpoint security systems.
• Annual penetration testing results
• Internal and third-party audit findings
• SIEM vendor reports
• Security incidents
  

Compliance

• Enforce compliance with SDS policies and procedures within the Systems team and participate in compliance education with outside departments.
• Assist the Compliance Auditor with information requests, with a commitment to transparency and overall compliance improvement.
  
  

Leadership

• Delegate and assign projects and tasks to Systems team members based on capability and specialty.
• Hold team members accountable for correct task and project completion, as well as quality work.
• Mentor Systems team members to expand their skill sets and quality of work.
• Conduct screening and interviews to select and hire new team members when needed.
• Administer disciplinary procedures for underperforming team members, including but not limited to the following:
• Informal incident feedback
• Formal incident write-ups
• Informal performance feedback
• Formal performance improvement plans
• Terminations
  

Other
