Our professional services client is seeking a Senior Manager of Employee Relations and Compliance for their Boston office. This will require a hybrid schedule.



About the Role

As the Senior Manager of Employee Relations and Compliance, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our client's reputation and ensuring a positive and productive workplace. You will lead complex investigations, advise management on employee relations matters, and ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws. Your expertise will be instrumental in mitigating risk, fostering a positive employee experience, and driving organizational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Complex Investigations: Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee complaints and allegations, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Provide Strategic HR Consulting: Advise management on a wide range of employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure Compliance: Stay current on employment laws and regulations, and implement proactive compliance strategies to minimize legal risk
  • Develop and Implement Policies: Create and maintain comprehensive employee policies and procedures that align with the firm's business objectives and legal requirements
  • Foster a Positive Workplace Culture: Promote a positive and inclusive work environment through effective employee relations practices and training programs


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a professional services or law firm environment
  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data analysis
