The Senior Manager of MIS Sales Operations & Analytics will be responsible for managing the sales operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, data analysis, and performance tracking. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve sales processes, enhance data-driven decision-making, and support the growth strategy. The role involves a strong focus on data management, business insights, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
MIS and Reporting
Develop, implement, and maintain an effective MIS system for sales data tracking and performance monitoring.
Generate accurate, comprehensive, and timely sales reports including daily, weekly, and monthly reports for senior management and field teams.
Create detailed sales dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
Monitor sales forecasts, budgets, and operational performance against targets.
Data Analysis & Insights
Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement across sales channels and products.
Provide actionable insights to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and competitive positioning.
Work with regional sales teams to drive data-driven decision-making.
Conduct in-depth analysis of customer segments, product performance, and geographic sales to optimize strategies.
Sales Operations
Manage end-to-end sales operations, including sales planning, PJP (Planned Journey Plan) tracking, and field force effectiveness.
Collaborate with the sales teams to optimize field productivity through effective route planning and market coverage.
Coordinate with supply chain and finance teams to ensure accurate demand planning and order fulfillment.
Implement and manage SFA (Sales Force Automation) systems for seamless tracking of field activities and sales efficiency.
Process Optimization
Review and refine sales processes to improve accuracy, speed, and customer satisfaction.
Develop, document, and ensure adherence to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for sales operations and reporting.
Identify and recommend solutions to streamline sales workflows and reduce operational bottlenecks.
Leadership and Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales operations and MIS professionals.
Foster a collaborative culture within the sales operations team and with cross-functional teams.
Ensure continuous learning and development for the team to keep up with industry best practices.
Compliance and Governance
Ensure all sales processes and data handling practices comply with company policies and local regulations.
Monitor sales operations for data integrity, accuracy, and security.
Develop and implement internal controls to minimize risks in sales reporting and data management.
Key Skills And Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Experience: 8+ years of experience in sales operations, MIS, or analytics, preferably in FMCG, retail, or related industries.
Proficiency in sales reporting tools and ERP systems.
Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other data visualization tools.
Experience with CRM and SFA tools like Salesforce or KEKA.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide insights that drive business decision
Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams and managing cross-functional collaboration.
Communication :Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data in a clear and concise manner to all levels of the organization.
