Senior Manager - Network Infrastructure

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager of Network Infrastructure to lead and manage the network operations across our entire ecosystem, including Darkstores, Super Stores, Motherhubs, Corporate, and Regional Offices throughout India. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in network design, security, and optimization, with a proven track record of managing complex, distributed network environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Strategy and Architecture

• Develop and implement comprehensive network infrastructure strategies
• Design and maintain robust network architecture for all company locations
• Ensure network scalability, performance, and reliability across diverse operational environments
• Create long-term network transformation roadmaps

2. Network Operations Center (NOC) Development and Management

• Establish and lead a comprehensive Network Operations Center (NOC)
• Design, implement, and optimize NOC infrastructure and processes
• Develop monitoring systems for real-time network performance and health
• Implement advanced network monitoring and management tools
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures for network incident management
• Develop proactive monitoring and predictive maintenance strategies

3. Network Infrastructure Management

• Manage network infrastructure for 1200+ sites across India
• Oversee network infrastructure for Darkstores, Super Stores, Motherhubs, Corporate, and Regional Offices
• Manage and optimize network connectivity across multiple sites
• Implement and maintain network segmentation and security protocols
• Develop and enforce network standards and best practices

4. Security Infrastructure

• Design and implement advanced network security solutions
• Manage and configure enterprise-grade firewalls
• Implement and optimize SDWAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) solutions
• Deploy and manage Zscaler and similar SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) tools
• Ensure comprehensive network security across all company locations

5. Network Optimization

• Conduct continuous network performance analysis
• Implement network optimization strategies
• Monitor and improve network latency, bandwidth utilization, and overall network efficiency
• Develop and maintain network performance dashboards and reporting
• Implement centralized monitoring and management for large-scale network infrastructure

6. Vendor Management

• Manage relationships with network infrastructure and security vendors
• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements
• Evaluate and implement cutting-edge networking technologies
• Ensure vendor compliance and optimal service delivery
• Manage multi-vendor network solutions across 500+ sites

7. Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure network infrastructure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Develop and maintain network disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Implement robust security measures to mitigate network-related risks
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Develop risk mitigation strategies for large-scale distributed network environments

8. Team Leadership and Development

• Lead and mentor the network infrastructure and NOC teams
• Develop team capabilities and technical skills
• Establish performance metrics and conduct regular performance evaluations
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation
• Build and manage centralized and distributed network support teams

9. Project Management

• Lead complex network infrastructure projects
• Manage network transformation initiatives across multiple sites
• Ensure timely and efficient implementation of network solutions
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve network infrastructure goals
• Manage large-scale network integration and standardization projects

10. Emerging Technologies

• Stay abreast of latest networking technologies and trends
• Research and recommend innovative networking solutions
• Pilot and evaluate new networking technologies
• Drive technological innovation in network infrastructure

Qualifications and Requirements

Professional Experience

• Minimum 10-12 years of extensive experience in network infrastructure management
• Proven track record of managing large-scale, distributed network environments
• Comprehensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise network solutions
• Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing Network Operations Centers (NOC)
• Proven experience managing network infrastructure for 500+ sites across India or globally

Technical Expertise

• Advanced knowledge of network architecture and design
• Expert-level understanding of firewall technologies
• Extensive experience with SDWAN implementations
• Proficiency in Zscaler and similar SASE tools
• Deep understanding of network security principles
• Experience with multi-site network integration
• Advanced knowledge of network optimization techniques
• Extensive experience in NOC setup, operations, and management

Technical Skills

• Network protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF)
