Description
The Senior Manager IS Business Relationship and Program Manager role is a technology position that oversees the IT Strategic business relationship and IT program management operations. While reporting to the Director of IS Project and Solution Delivery, this role will research, coordinate and deliver strategic business and technical projects aligned with the firm's business objectives. The Senior Manager IS Business Relationship and Program Manager will partner with the project stakeholders and partners to solve business problems with technology. This is a critical role in program managing product selection and implementing solutions that enhance the firm's technical capabilities.
The role will interact with internal stakeholders to understand strategy, product scoping, business value outcomes, business and technical needs, and execute projects.
What you will do:
Programs:
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Oversee project executing, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders including team members and executives. Effectively communicate project progress, address concerns, and manage expectations.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor emerging threats. Proactively address issues to minimize project disruptions.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that the project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to organizational guidelines.
Capability Management
- Support capacity planning by assisting with the assessment of current and future technology and providing input into resource capacity to support business needs.
- Process Management

- Support and oversee the implementation of the IT governance framework, ensuring alignment between IT strategies and business objectives, and fostering transparency and accountability in technology related decision-making.
IT Business Relationship Management
- Maintain a positive relationship with stakeholders, identifying their needs and ensuring that service providers can meet their needs.
- Work as a business analyst to bridge the gap between business leaders; articulation of business needs, translating them into IT solutions.
- Understanding of how to recommend and deliver the solution needs and to source capabilities.
People Management
- Align team programs, functions and goals with enterprise objectives
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent to build a strong, motivated, and adaptable team
- Empower team members through effective delegation and mentoring to cultivate a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance and support. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer or Information Science or a related field or acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
- Strong analytical skills related to working with diverse stakeholders and articulating and confirming scope of work
- Experience building IT/IS processes and governance processes
- 7+ years of experience working in IT/IS Program/Project Management in a leadership position (Manager or above)
- At least 5 years of people management experience
- Reliable, accessible and able to work under pressure
- Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines
- Ability to adapt to change and learn new skills quickly
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision under a system of discipline and accountability
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written (English) communication skills
Preferred Requirements
- Master’s Degree
- 10+ years in technology related program/project management
- Professional Services related experience
- 5+ years executing large-scale implementation
- 5+ years’ experience implementing and leading IT related Practice Management/Billing and CRM Implementation
