Tasks

• Your job is the oversight of the Security Operations Center (SOC) delivered by the offshore partner team, ensuring alignment with company security objectives.
• You'll oversee activities, including effective monitoring, detection, and incident response & collaborate on security event investigations to ensure timely and effective threat mitigation
• You'll be responsible for vulnerability management to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks
• You'll supervise proactive threat identification efforts, leverage threat intelligence for enhanced detection, oversee SIEM operations, optimize alerting mechanisms, and drive improvements in threat detection capabilities
• You'll act as the primary liaison between German leadership and the offshore security operations team
• You'll establish and track key performance indicators for cybersecurity operations, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement
• You'll make a central contribution to identifying and implementing enhancements to security operations, workflows, and response efficiency
  
  

Requirements

• You've a Bachelor's or/and Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
• You'll bring a strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK) and several years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with expertise in SOC, threat detection, and vulnerability management
• You've hands-on experience with relevant security tools and platforms as well as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC or equivalent certifications
• In-depth knowledge of security tools like Tenable, CrowdStrike, Recorded Future, Splunk & ServiceNow distinguishes you
• You're familiar with security incident response and threat intelligence methodologies
• You're experienced in managing offshore teams and security operations service providers as well as working with, leading and coordinating offshore security teams
• An analytical mindset for identifying emerging threats and vulnerabilities sets you apart
• Your skills include making decisions under pressure in security incidents and driving improvements in cybersecurity maturity
• It's easy for you to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Good English skills, both written & spoken, round off your profile
