The Digital team is looking for a Senior Manager, Digital Strategy & Operations! This role plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving our digital strategy. You will work closely with the VP of Digital to co-develop top-level digital strategies and ensure robust, outcome-focused goal-setting across all digital teams and squads. Your expertise will be instrumental in leading our digital team structure and require extensive collaboration with senior leaders across the business.

What You'll Do
Strategy Development:
- Executive Collaboration: Work closely with senior executives across the organization to understand their goals and ensure alignment with the overall digital strategy.
- Identifying Focus Areas: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential new focus areas for digital initiatives. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our strategies remain innovative.
- Building Business Cases: Develop comprehensive business cases for new digital initiatives, including cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, and potential ROI. Present these business cases to senior executives to secure buy-in and funding.
- Developing & communicating plans: Crafting a compelling strategic story that builds alignment to Digital initiatives across the org, and with our key external partnerships, RBC Insurance & PC Financial Insurance, adjusting the story to suit different audiences
Strategy Execution
- Goal Setting & Performance Monitoring: Ensure robust, outcome-focused goal-setting is in place across all digital teams and squads. Lead the communication of these goals with partners and monitor performance to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Lead Monthly Performance Update meetings with partners and Quarterly Business Reviews for all Digital teams.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with various departments, including marketing, IT, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of digital initiatives. Cultivate a collaborative environment to drive successful product outcomes.
- Governance: Lead the digital governance structure, working closely with Transformation, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure compliance and effective risk management.
Digital Team Leadership
- Training & Development: Lead the development and implementation of training programs to upskill our digital team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Strategic Counsel: Act as a trusted advisor to the VP of Digital, co-developing and refining top-level digital strategies.
- Function building: Lead on recruitment initiatives & interviews, team-building events, and internal communications to build the Digital team’s profile.
What You'll Bring
- Educational Background: An exceptional academic record with a degree from a top-tier university in business, strategy, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is nice-to-have but not required.
- Consulting Experience: 2-4 years experience at a consulting firm (MBB preferred) with a focus on digital strategy.
- Digital Expertise: Proven experience in digital strategy, governance, and performance monitoring.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and lead change across teams and collaborators.
- Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills with experience working with internal and external partners.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
