Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Data Science to join our IT Advanced Analytics and Data team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who will collaborate with business partners to leverage innovative data science techniques, transforming key business opportunities into measurable success. This role involves leading and mentoring a team of data scientists to develop and deploy impactful data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with business leaders to align data science initiatives with strategic goals.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of data scientists, including recruitment and onboarding.
  • Develop and execute data science methodologies and best practices.
  • Spearhead technical engagements with senior leaders and key business units.
  • Advocate for and drive the adoption of advanced analytics across the organization.
  • Educate stakeholders on data science applications and insights.
  • Develop, implement, and manage predictive and prescriptive analytics models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytics into business operations.
  • Identify and manage external data science partnerships and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, data privacy standards, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years managing data scientists.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in statistical modeling, forecasting, and machine learning techniques.
    • Strong ability to translate business problems into actionable data science solutions.
    • Experience with Python, R, SQL, and data science tools (e.g., Databricks).
    • Cloud computing experience, preferably in Azure.
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in a related field.
  • Experience leading end-to-end data science projects within Agile frameworks.
  • Background in analytical consulting.
