Your ‘day To Day’
The Data Governance Manager will play a crucial role in the development and execution of our data governance strategy in conjunction with the Director, Data Operations. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that data across the organization is managed effectively and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader with a solid understanding of data management principles to drive data governance initiatives and establish a robust data governance framework that supports the organization's goals and improves data quality, privacy, and security.
- Develop and implement data management policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure compliance with data standards.
- Drive business adoption of governance policies.
- Establish Data Council to prioritize, monitor, and communicate changes for business-critical data.
- Mature Master Data Management and Reference Data processes to drive single source of the truth.
- Provide thought leadership to gain support for data stewardship practices.
- Build data quality rules and work with Data Owners and Data Stewards to address any issues promptly.
- Ensure data privacy, security, and Identity Access Rights measures are in place.
- Develop and supervise critical metrics for program effectiveness.
Who We’re Looking For
- Legally authorized to work in the US.
- Commutable distance to Stamford, CT.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in data governance or data management roles and building a high-performing team in a cross-functional, highly matrixed organization.
- Highly skilled with Data Management Tools such as Atlan, Profisee, and DQ tools.
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations.
- Professional designations such as CDMP are preferred.
Annual Base Salary Range: $164,800-206,000
