Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager of Cost Accounting to lead our cost accounting function across multiple manufacturing sites. This individual will play a critical role in shaping and executing cost accounting strategies, supporting standard cost processes, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive financial insight and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of standard costing systems across manufacturing operations.
• Manage monthly and quarterly cost accounting close activities, including inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, and variance analysis.
• Drive accuracy and consistency in product costing, including BOMs, routings, labor, and overhead rates.
• Collaborate with plant controllers, operations, and supply chain teams to analyze production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Partner on new product introductions and plant setups, developing cost structures and establishing new cost accounting processes from scratch.
• Lead inventory management and physical inventory processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external audit requirements.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to cost accounting staff, promoting continuous improvement and best practices.
• Serve as a key liaison to the FP&A team, providing cost insights and supporting forecasting and budgeting activities.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in cost accounting within a standard costing environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and manufacturing finance.
• Hands-on experience with setting up and managing standard costs in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven track record of leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in multi-plant manufacturing environments.
