Job Description

The Senior Manager, Clinical Training and Commercial Enablement at Butterfly Network is responsible for developing and leading the company's customer training program, as well as training the Commercial teams on effective strategies for selling to customers and onboarding new hires. This is a critical position that ensures Butterfly Network's customers are fully equipped to utilize the company's products and services, while also empowering the internal teams to successfully onboard and support new clients.

Responsibilities

Client Training Program Development and Delivery

  • Design comprehensive training offerings, programs, and materials for customers on Butterfly Network's products, services, and workflows
  • Build out a Clinical Applications team to support the Client Training offerings and go-to-market strategy of client enablement
  • Continuously evaluate and update the training program offerings to address evolving customer needs and product changes
  • Coordinate and manage the deployment of Clinical Application Specialists to fulfill contracted engagements across all markets including managing third party relationships to augment internal resources
  • Collaborate with Client Success, Implementation, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure training content is aligned with the latest product features and best practices
  • Create training content that can be utilized by Client Success teams to ensure standardized approaches to external training


Commercial Team Enablement

  • Develop a comprehensive onboarding curriculum for the Butterfly Commercial team which leverages cross-functional business owners on Butterfly's offerings, value proposition, ideal customer profiles, and critical operational workflows
  • Develop and deliver sales enablement tools, playbooks, and training to equip the teams with the knowledge and skills to effectively sell to target customers
  • Provide ongoing coaching and just-in-time support to sales reps during the customer engagement process
  • Analyze sales performance data and client feedback to identify areas for improvement in the sales enablement program


Program Measurement and Optimization

  • Working with the Director of Solution Consulting, establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and revenue impact of both the client training offerings and sales enablement programs
  • Collect and analyze participant feedback, training session assessments, and post-training usage data to continuously improve content and delivery
  • Report on program metrics and recommend changes to leadership to maximize the impact and return on investment


Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • 7+ years of experience in a training or enablement role, preferably within a B2B software or technology company in the healthcare industry
  • Preference for clinical certifications in ultrasound such as those offered by ARDMS
  • Served as senior or lead of a clinical applications team
  • Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design, and virtual/in-person training delivery
  • Strong working knowledge of sales enablement best practices and techniques
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and provide data-backed recommendations
  • Experience with customer-facing roles or prior work in a customer-centric environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field

Location

Butterfly offers a hybrid work model for most positions, with team members spending two or more days a week in the office. While flexibility is key, we value in-person connections that spark creativity and teamwork. Our offices are designed for collaboration, with comfortable workspaces, stocked kitchens, and opportunities to connect with peers.

This is a hybrid position and will be based out of our office in New York City, NY.

Please note that this role will require 25% travel.

Compensation

Our estimated salary for this role is between $135,000 - $165,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.
