Summary

As Senior Manager, Central Operations (Development) , you will be responsible to lead the assessment, evaluation and enhancement of the venues to better suit the growing demands of events and customers while developing, implementing and ensuring compliance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and a high-quality customer experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, design, and facilities management, to optimize venue performance and create standardized operational frameworks that streamline processes and promote best practices. Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.


Roles & Responsibilities


Venue Enhancement:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing venues, identifying areas for improvement, upgrades, and modernization.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and contractors to develop and implement venue enhancements, ensuring alignment with brand standards and guest expectations.
  • Manage the execution of venue upgrade projects if required, including budget oversight, timeline management, and coordination with contractors.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of venue upgrades and make recommendations for further improvements based on feedback from stakeholders, employees, and guests.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure venues remain competitive and innovative.


Standard Operating Procedures Development:

  • Design and develop comprehensive SOPs for operations in the Singapore Sports Hub, including maintenance, safety protocols, guest services, and event management.
  • Work closely with operational teams to understand the nuances of day-to-day venue management and incorporate insights into SOP creation.
  • Ensure all SOPs are aligned with legal, regulatory, and health & safety standards.
  • Regularly review and update SOPs to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals and industry regulations.
  • Verify compliance of SOPs


Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

  • Partner with senior leadership, operations teams, and external vendors to ensure the successful implementation of venue upgrades and SOPs.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for cross-departmental coordination related to venue enhancements and process development.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on project status, operational challenges, and SOP compliance.


Project Management:

  • Lead multiple venue upgrade projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
  • Develop detailed project plans, outlining scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution and minimal disruption to operations.


Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

  • Continuously monitor venue performance and guest satisfaction, using feedback to drive future enhancements.
  • Investigate new technologies or processes that can improve the efficiency, safety, and overall guest experience at venues.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to suggest ideas and solutions for venue enhancements and operational efficiencies.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facility Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in venue management, facilities operations, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading venue upgrades or renovation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in venue management.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience in developing and implementing SOPs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
