The Senior Logistics Coordinator, based in Queensland, is responsible for ensuring the efficient scheduling and coordination of fleet movements, the timely and safe delivery of goods, and compliance with transport regulations. This role requires strong knowledge of the transport sector, including road freight operations, OSOM (Oversize Overmass) compliance, and fatigue management regulations.


Success in this role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also play a key role in customer communications, invoicing, and subcontractor coordination. This position will participate fully in health, safety, and environmental management processes, including risk assessment, hazard identification and control, inspections, and incident reporting.


As a Senior Logistics Coordinator, you will work closely with Client Operations and Project Managers to assist with transport procedures, compliance and planning day-to-day transport operation needs. Responsibilities include;


  • Coordinate fleet movements, scheduling vehicles, and ensuring compliance with OSOM Operating Conditions and fatigue management regulations across all States, including monitoring driver work/rest hours, permit requirements, and safe transport practices.
  • Coordinate the daily operations of the depot facility.
  • Follow road freight operations procedures that are implemented by the management team or the project manager.
  • Assist in coordinating the state-based drivers and freight service staff.
  • Develop road freight opportunities for the business through existing and potential clients.
  • Coordinate administrative and financial tasks for operations. E.g. Invoicing, POD's, Contractor Invoices.
  • Maintaining strong communication with customers regarding service updates, delays, factors such as transport options, timelines and regulations affecting transport arrangements and general inquiries.
  • Arrange quotes and pricing structures, rates and price estimates as required.
  • Negotiate rates with contractors in line with service requirements.
  • Develop operations procedures to effectively manage scheduled project logistics Australia-wide.
  • Attend to Quality Management System (QMS) Inductions.
  • Ensure that processes needed for the QMS are actively completed and maintained.
  • Report Non-conformances, changes or any customer complaints if required.
