Position Overview:

The Senior Linux Systems Engineer role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux-based systems within an organization's IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include system administration tasks, automation/scripting, monitoring/troubleshooting, and documentation. The position requires a strong understanding of Linux operating systems, scripting skills, familiarity with automation tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, deploy, and manage Linux infrastructure (bare-metal and virtual) optimized for ultra-low-latency trading.

- Automate systems provisioning and configuration management

- Ensure high availability and failover readiness through resilient design and incident response practices.

- Automate tasks and workflows using scripting languages.

- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.

- Collaborate with software engineers to benchmark and optimize end-to-end trading performance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.

- 7+ years of experience in Linux system administration.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python).

- Experience with high-performance computing and real-time systems 

- Familiarity with automation tools and cloud platforms.

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and mentor junior engineers.
