You're excited about this opportunity because you will… * Build tight relationships between enthusiastic partners in varied disciplines of industrial, software, and operations research engineering, owning end-to-end hardware to cloud solutions. * Solution at high speed with a small, agile team of coworkers to produce outsized impact on the business. * Showcase your ability to solution in a system with high-uptime requirements. * Have the autonomy to identify and roadmap unaddressed problems in the business and their impact, as well as offer new, improved solutions to existing challenges. * Take a leading role in prioritization and sequencing to drive the best value for our clients and stakeholders. * Apply your understanding of systems design, engineering for resiliency, and thinking in tradeoffs across a multidisciplinary team of hardware, application, and machine learning engineers. * Be exposed to a wide-open field of opportunity for impact with plenty of challenges to make your own. We're excited about you because… * You have 5-8 years of software engineering experience. * You drive for resiliency. You take a principled approach to complexity, and can make smart bets on where to invest time and system burden for maximum business impact. * You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders about complex technical topics. * You're curious about what's happening outside your immediate sphere and how you can leverage insights elsewhere inside the domains you own. * You're happiest as a team player, looking for highest impact across the stack and ready to contribute to team and corporate priorities wherever you find them. * You have extensive experience sizing, building, delivering, and supporting software products in a production environment, preferably in Ruby/Rails and Go. * You have past experience building or integrating against new Warehouse Management Systems. * You bring a comfort with data (SQL, data skepticism and hygiene) to support and co-own decisions.
