What You Will Do

Civil Project Management:

  • Directing project teams, scheduling tasks effectively, and facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing technical guidance on projects involving sewer systems, water management, earthworks, and road infrastructure.
  • Managing multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality control.
  • Identifying and pursuing business opportunities, understanding industry trends, and expanding client base.
  • Collaborating with clients to define project requirements and expectations.
  • Handling project finances, including invoicing, budget management, and financial reporting.
  • Coordinating construction activities and contract administration as per project scope.
  • Ensuring timely project completion and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Maintaining awareness of regulatory policies and fostering relationships with regulatory officials.
  • Upholding the firm's quality management standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinating subcontractor activities as necessary.

Business Development

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with prospective and existing clients.
  • Developing project scopes, budgets, and proposals, and negotiating contracts.
  • Cultivating and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships with clients, industry, and community organizations.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • P. Eng. C.E.T. or LET designation in Ontario.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in consulting engineering or municipal environments, preferably in Ontario.
  • Understanding of Land Development and Site Plan review processes.
  • Proficiency in government technical standards, engineering practices, and legislative regulations.
  • Strong project management skills in sewer and roadway design, storm-water management, and environmental assessments.
  • Experience applying municipal engineering design criteria to various systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage project teams, and capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Track record in project management and business development, prioritizing excellence.
  • Excellent communicator with strong management and supervisory skills for team development.
  • Sets high standards, leads by example, and prioritizes efficiency with a strong work ethic and commitment to success.
  • Knowledge and experience in land and site development in GTA and surrounding areas, municipal experience preferred.
