Senior Java Engineer 

Location: Dublin, 1 week/month onsite
Rate: up to €475 per day 
Duration: 12 Months

Our client is seeking a passionate Senior Java Engineer to help build and evolve a cutting-edge API platform that powers access to their secure digital asset services. In this hands-on role, you’ll partner closely with engineering, architecture, and product teams to design and deliver robust, scalable, and customer-friendly APIs. What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs for accessing digital asset services
• Collaborate across engineering and architecture teams to shape resilient cloud-based solutions
• Deliver high-quality code using modern development practices including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and system design decisions
• Contribute to system reliability in dynamic and distributed environments

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in backend development
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
• Strong understanding of designing and documenting RESTful APIs for customer-facing applications
• Experience with WebSockets and/or FIX APIs is a plus
• Familiarity with AWS, containerization, infrastructure as code, and test automation
• Solid SQL/database knowledge
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
