Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Developer with substantial DevOps experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, particularly with Spring Boot microservices, and hands-on experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, scripting, multi-service handling, and observability. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure applications in a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Java Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Java applications using Spring Boot.
• Implement microservices architecture and ensure seamless integration between services.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to SOLID principles.

DevOps Practices:

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for consistent and repeatable deployments.
• Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet to automate system configurations and deployments.

Automation & Scripting:

• Develop automation scripts using languages like Python, Groovy, or Bash to streamline deployment and operational tasks.
• Ensure automated tests are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline to maintain code quality and reliability.

Multi-Service Handling & Observability:

• Manage and orchestrate multiple services using containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track application performance and system health, utilizing tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience in Java development with a focus on Spring Boot microservices.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Groovy, or Bash.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Familiarity with security best practices in DevOps and cloud environments.
• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or DevOps methodologies.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
