Our challenge:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with over 8 years of experience in software development. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in core Java, Java Design Patterns, and experience with deep learning technologies. Candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.


Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Phoenix, AZ is $110k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).


The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and Hibernate.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with OpenAI API for generative AI applications.
  • Utilize Java design patterns to create efficient and reusable code.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for automation testing and deployment.
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers to enhance team capabilities.
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Java development, deep learning, and automation.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, including core Java and Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate).
  • Proficiency in Java design patterns and solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Experience in automation testing frameworks and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices to streamline development processes.
  • Proven experience in designing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Understanding of generative AI concepts and applications.


Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
