Job Description
As a Software Engineer on the Altiplano Access Controller team, you'll enhance our cloud-native network automation tool for managing and optimizing fixed access services. Collaborating in an innovative, agile environment, you'll design, code, and test in Java/J2EE, automate processes, and work with technologies like Kubernetes and Microservices. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Design, develop, and maintain the Altiplano Access Controller to optimize fixed access services.
- Implement and automate software solutions using Java/J2EE, Microservices, and cloud-native architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and integrate new technologies into product development.
- Conduct thorough code and test design reviews to ensure high-quality outputs and performance.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving complex application issues in development and production environments.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes to enhance product quality and team efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative team environment focused on knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to contribute to the evolution of the product and team strategy.
Key Skills And Experience
You have:
- Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Computers, Electronics, or Telecom
- 4 to 8 years of strong experience in Java/J2EE application development
- Proven troubleshooting skills within Java/J2EE environments
- Familiarity with Cloud-native architectures and microservices
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience in DevOps methodologies and practices
- Knowledge of network management systems (NMS) and element management systems (EMS)
- Understanding of SDN/NFV principles and applications
- Exposure to modern front-end technologies like AngularJS
