Summary

Overall Position Purpose

This position is primarily responsible for acquiring, installing, configuring, and maintaining infrastructure devices to ensure that performance and reliability meets and exceeds the requirements of the business. This position is responsible for configuration, operation, security, and administration of wired and wireless networks, cloud provider infrastructure, the telephone system, security and access control, disaster recovery, and productivity applications, while ensuring cyber-security best practices are met. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring and responding to network and system alerts.


Core Responsibilities

  • Monitor emerging technology developments and identify innovations with potential high payoffs for infrastructure systems, while making recommendations for new/altered technologies that would contribute to system cost saving and/or productivity improvements;
  • Ensure the smooth operation of all personal computing devices and meeting room devices, including the software and systems they connect to and the infrastructure that supports them, including but not limited to servers, personal computers (PCs), software as a service (SaaS) platforms, tablet computers, wired\wireless network, security and access control, email, printers, and copiers/scanners;
  • Provide technical support/guidance for wired and wireless networks to users, and serves as the IT Liaison to other departments;
  • Ensure successful backups of servers and Structured Query Language (SQL) databases and quarterly testing;
  • Respond to escalated help desk requests according to IT procedures and service level agreements, coordinating activities with contractors, consultants, and vendors as required;
  • Perform assigned duties as a member of the Inteleos Incident Response team in the event of a security breach;
  • Ensure data/system security by protecting infrastructure from unauthorized access, use, or interruption while maintaining systems hardware, software, and data integrity, and ensuring data/system security is in compliance with industry standards;
  • Provide weekly reports, updates, and maintain software and hardware inventory, including coordination of software license agreements;
  • Create, maintain and improve IT policies and procedures as required by American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for organizational accreditation, and assist in the creation and implementation of a Business Continuity Plan;
  • Work closely with the help desk, business intelligence, project management, and development teams to complete tasks, project planning and project implementation;


Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Certification or equivalent in Computer Science (CS), Management Information System (MIS), or a related field;
  • Minimum three years’ experience with wired and wireless networks, administering Microsoft Windows systems, and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory;
  • Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) certification (A+ / Network+ / Security+);
  • Microsoft certification - Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), and/or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE); and
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certification (Foundational or Associate).
