Job Title: SR IT Support Analyst

Primary Purpose:
Provide end users with technical support of district computers, mobile devices, printers, software applications, telephones, and other related technologies. Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing network and computer hardware.
Develop, deploy and maintain standardized computer and mobile device configurations for all district devices.
Coordinate support and configuration efforts with the network administrator.
Assist with the configuration, deployment and maintenance of all district data and communications systems, and related technologies.
Education/Certifications:
* Associates Degree or equivalent years of experience in a network and support environment.
* Certifications preferred (e.g., CompTia A+, Network+, Security +, Google G Suite, or Microsoft MTA, Microsoft MCSA)
Experience:
3 years of experience performing technical support and systems maintenance in a network environment
Special Knowledge/Skills:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a customer-friendly attitude. Comfortable supporting employees at all levels of the
* Possess the aptitude to identify and resolve problems, and/or escalate issues to the network administrator, or management
* Advanced technical knowledge of computers, mobile devices, and VoIP phones
* Expert knowledge of Windows 7/10, Advanced knowledge of Apple Mac OS/iOS
* Support application rostering and integration
* In-depth knowledge of imaging and backup technologies and methods
* Ability to install and maintain network cables and related hardware
* Ability to effectively manage and prioritize demands under pressure

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
End User and Equipment Support
* Primary contact to respond to support requests and provide technical assistance to faculty, staff, students, service providers, and outside vendors for use of district computer equipment and network
* Builds rapport and elicits problem details from customers.
* Responsible for configuration and deployment of district technology, to
include computers, laptops, printers, telephones, projectors, and mobile devices.
* Develop and implement standardized configurations of district computing
* Install client and server network operating systems as
* Prioritize special assignments as specified by the Director of Technology
* Work with the Network Administrator and the Technology Director to manage the entire device lifecycle: acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
* Assist the Network Administrator with the management of network, application, and OS licensing, as required.
* Escalate problems to applicable support staff (internal Technology Dept support or outside vendor technical support) as required.

Equipment Repair and Maintenance
* Service equipment according to district or manufacturer's preventive maintenance schedule.
* Assist the Network Administrator with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of network equipment and phone circuits, as
* Maintain accurate records of time and materials required to perform repairs and service via the IT request management system.
Security
* Protect systems by utilizing and implementing defined control structures and access privileges as determined by the Network Administrator and PEIMS Coordinator.
* Recognize problems by identifying security abnormalities and reporting
* Assist in the implementation of security improvements, as
* Assist with the implementation and administration of backups of critical network and application functions.
Safety
* Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety
* Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing and carrying.
* Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately.

* Manage assigned projects and programs to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
* Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, acquiring technical certifications, and reviewing publications.

Tools/Equipment Used: Hand tools and test instruments for electronic repairs and cable installations; rack-based network equipment; standard office equipment including personal computers and peripherals

Environment: Work is performed in both office and classroom environments; possible biological exposure to bacteria and communicable diseases; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus; regular district-wide travel; occasional after-hours work; may be required to be on- call 24 hours a day.
