Job Description

As Senior IT Solution Architect you will be accountable for Integrations, Solution Design for Kite’s Commercial, Clinical and Technical operations to deliver innovative end-to-end digital technologies throughout the cell order journey, including patient enrollment, cell order management, and supply chain logistics. This role will partner with a range of stakeholders in the US and globally– to deliver industry leading tech solutions. You will work closely with our commercial organization and technical development teams to accomplish this. This is an exciting opportunity to join a one of the global leaders in cell therapy. The Team You will be an integral and highly visible part of Kite’s global IT team. Your efforts will support the definition of a global IT strategy and accompanying roadmap for Kite’s mission of treating and curing cancer with cell therapy.

Essential Duties And Job Functions

  • General responsibilities for this position will include (but are not limited to) the following:
  • Set the architectural strategic direction for roadmaps and initiatives in the assigned area, including contributing to the development and adoption of new architecture and standards.
  • Partner with other IT and business colleagues to capture, analyze and document technology needs and specifications.
  • Develop integration, API standards and patterns required to develop the capabilities for Kite’s platforms.
  • Oversee critical steps within the Software Development Life Cycle components that impact platform-wide development.
  • Develop solution architecture and standards that enable DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, and automated continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Communicate project status to various levels of management.
  • Continuously manage, monitor, and update architecture models as business needs evolve and additional services become available, including optimizing solution architectures to manage costs and other efficiencies.
  • Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience in IT OR
  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years relevant experience in IT Knowledge, Experience and Skills
  • Significant relevant experience - Preferably within a Commercial Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical organization.
  • BS / BA degree in IT, Business Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Oracle EBS, Veeva, Sitecore
  • Experience with Tier 1 ERP’s – Preferably SAP ERP
  • Experience and knowledge of end-to-end IT Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience managing the delivery and performance of 3rd party vendors – primarily off-shore.
  • Significant knowledge and understanding of the Commercial business and related functions in the Pharma industry: Field Force Effectiveness, Marketing, Patient Services, CRM, Master data management (MDM), Commercialization, Legal, Business Conduct, Quality etc.
  • Experience working with APIs from commercial SaaS applications.
  • Experience working in a managed services delivery model based on business outcomes.
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and deliver innovative solutions to address them.
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions to business partners in a clear and meaningful way.
  • Ability to oversee projects, manage resource and influence outcomes in a matrix organization.
  • Strong analytical, communication, time-management, facilitation, presentation, influencing and project/portfolio management skills.
  • Proven organizational savvy - working across organizational boundaries and reporting lines.
  • Independent, self-motivated, proactive and responsive with a bias for action and results.
  • High level of personal integrity consistent with Kite and Gilead’s core values.
  • Occasional travel to international Kite / Gilead locations Behaviors

The salary range for this position is: $153,935.00 - $199,210.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
