The IT Project Manager Professional will lead the completion of a multitude of IT-related projects by working with a staff of highly talented professionals. The primary responsibility of the IT Project Manager Professional is to take overall ownership for the success of the projects they are assigned. Often, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously as part of a program.

General Responsibilities

• Advises on various projects or phases of a larger project
• Advises on the activities of a project team, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project
• Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team
• Create project plans, communication plans, and all standard project documentation to ensure organization of the project team
• Conduct weekly project meetings to ensure deadlines are being met and the project is kept on target; drive for results and deadlines
• Provide timely updates to project business cases for stage gate approvals
• Leads cross-functional & cross-regional teams
• Escalate issues and risks to appropriate stakeholders and create mitigation plans
  
  

Experience / Qualifications

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Communication - Ability to communicate effectively by getting the right message across to the right people at the right time on a regular basis

• Time Management - Ability to assessing your ability to manage your time, and the effectiveness of your team to reach department objectives
• Conflict management - Ability to recognize and work towards a mutually agreeable solution when confronted with conflict
• Decision making - Ability to think through possibilities and make sound decisions with appropriate degree of risk; knows when he / she has enough data to make an informed decision
• Resilience - Ability to work under pressure and prioritize
• Strategic thinking - Ability to turn strategy into action, to see the big picture and use this ability productively
• Managing objectives - Ability to decide what needs to be accomplished and design a plan to achieve the desired results
• Team Management - Ability to delegate, motivate, mentor, develop and manage team to achieve objectives. Manage external resource against SLA and operational metrics
