Summary

You will be responsible for overseeing the management of Software development & Engineering, Systems architecture, and Data management for our R&D organization in China.


Responsibilities

  • IT for business capabilities: Identify and verify suitable IT solutions meeting the required business capabilities
  • IT Strategy Development: Formulate and implement a local IT strategy that aligns with corporate R&D long-term research, innovation and goals. Oversee portfolio management to prioritize and manage IT projects and initiatives and being the bridge with other IT functions
  • Technology Roadmap: Develop and manage a technology roadmap that identifies future IT needs and emerging technologies that can enhance R&D outcomes in line with overall corporate R&D strategies and roadmap.
  • Innovation Support: Ensure the IT infrastructure supports R&D by facilitating rapid prototyping, experimentation, and collaboration tools for researchers and developers. Chair the IT change control board to oversee and approve changes to the IT environment for R&D.
  • Oversee IT Projects: Plan, manage, and oversee the execution of IT-related projects within the R&D department, including infrastructure upgrades, software development, and new technology implementations. Develop and implement IT methodologies and best practices, to improve efficiency and effectiveness, within the IT departments.
  • Resource Management: Allocate IT resources efficiently to meet the needs of multiple R&D projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and managing workloads.
  • Global corporation with central R&D IT department, to manage, rollout and maintain the deliveries from the central IT organisations, towards the application portfolio supporting our business in China with a unified global process.


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in R&D Software development & Engineering, Systems architecture, or Data management
  • Strong understanding of IT change control and change management processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, in a multicultural context.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.
