Job Title: Business Analyst - Investment and passive Management

Job location – Boston (Hybrid) 2 to 3 days in a week. We are looking for local candidates from Boston only.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with expertise in Investment Management to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of investment processes, financial instruments, asset management, passive investment, and portfolio management. As a key member of our Data Platform team, you will play a vital role in analyzing business requirements, implementing solutions, and optimizing processes related to the new Data Platform.

Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering:

Collaborate with investment professionals, portfolio managers, and stakeholders to gather and document business requirements related to investment data strategies, risk management, and performance analysis.

Data Analysis:

Utilize quantitative analysis to assess investment performance, risk exposure, and market trends.

Portfolio Management Support:

Provide analytical support for portfolio management activities, including trade execution, rebalancing, and optimization.

Investment Process Optimization:

Identify opportunities for process improvement within the investment lifecycle.

Implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce operational risk, and streamline workflows.

Performance Reporting:

Develop and generate regular reports on investment performance, attribution, and other key metrics.

Work with reporting tools and systems to present data in a clear and insightful manner.

Technology Solutions Implementation:

Collaborate with IT teams to implement technology solutions that support the data platform.

Stakeholder Communication:

Facilitate communication between investment teams, business units, and technology teams.

Ensure a shared understanding of investment-related requirements, challenges, and solutions.

Documentation and Training:

Document data related requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the investment management industry.
• In-depth understanding of investment processes, financial instruments, and portfolio management.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and modeling.
• Knowledge of risk management principles and practices in the context of investment portfolios.
• Experience with investment management systems, reporting tools, and technology solutions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
