Your new role:
The IT Automation Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions and self-service platforms to streamline IT & business operations, improve efficiency, and enhance the user experience.
This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation, develop scalable solutions, and maintain the overall health and performance of automated systems.
Responsibilities:
- Automation Development: Create, test, and deploy automated workflows and scripts to enhance IT operations or Operations in general.
- Self-Service Platform Management: Develop and maintain self-service portals and tools to provide users with easy access to IT services and support.
- Process Improvement: Continuously analyze IT processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, stakeholders, and users to gather requirements, provide training, and ensure successful implementation of automation solutions.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the performance and effectiveness of automation systems and provide regular reports to management.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Strong understanding of process automation methodologies (e.g., RPA, scripting, APIs, orchestration)
- High level of proficiency in building automated solutions
- Experience with automation platforms such as Azure
- Ability to understand and map complex processes and workflows
- Understanding of compliance requirements such as GxP, GDPR, and auditability in automated solutions is an advantage
- Integrating systems
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical topics into business value
- Familiarity with ITSM tools and concepts is an advantage
- Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector is an advantage
- Solid scripting knowledge is an advantage
