Connect 44 is actively hiring for a Senior IP Test Engineer to join the team.

Required Engineer

• Excellent Knowledge of Juniper routers essential
• Excellent knowledge of IP/MPLS Core network testing & troubleshooting practices
• Excellent IP skills (ability to troubleshoot the BGP/ISIS routing and other protocols around the MPLS Core estate)
• Have excellent technical people co-ordination, co-operation, management skills & work independently
• Demonstrate tenacity and a proactive attitude to all the tasks defined
• Be able to progress tasks concurrently to deliver in the allotted time
• Provide regular updates to the Project and Transport Test team principal engineers
• Respond to concerns raised by the Transport Test team principal engineers
• Work on site in Buck Ave Slough office when required
  
  

Scope Of Work

• Rapidly learn the existing MPLS Core connection/solution (including entwined IP routers)
• Produce Test Plan inc Test Case listing from provided template (and old examples) and gain sign off from stakeholder though programme and project team
• Gather existing Test Cases in Jira system
• Review and validate the Test Cases in Jira system, removing duplication and creating more tests cases where required and agreed
• Perform MoSCoW test case prioritisation to ensure test cycle is achievable in the time constraints
• Review overarching MoPs/Imp Plans from design teams and ensure all the MoPs work in unison to affect the migration in TestBed.
• Execute Baseline test cases
• Execute Migration MoP Test cases inc rollback
• Feedback on any technical matters to the design teams to improve the solution
• Execute Regression suite of test cases once the solution is successfully implemented
• Produce and manage defects/issue tracker and seek resolutions
• Produce Test Exit Report with change risk assessment and gain sign-off
