Overview
Primarily focused on supporting client projects, of low to moderate complexity, concentrated around multinational employee benefits related matters covering, but not limited to; statutory and customary local country specific benefits including international health & welfare plans (life, accident, short and long term disability, medical, dental, vision and EAP), global medical coverage, expatriate issues/coverage, multinational pooling, and other HR-related issues. Conducts research and prepares recommendations for consulting/sales team and assists in delivering determined service plan through in-depth research, analysis, reporting & presentation. Systematically draws information from a variety of sources, analyzes and identifies implications of data, draws appropriate conclusions, generates viable alternatives, and evaluates consequences of each solution.
The Analyst position provides the opportunity to develop technical knowledge with a particular emphasis on global benefits in order to build a career in professional advisory services for corporate benefit programs.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Performing benefits inventory, data collection, analytical work, and market practice comparisons in addition to and drafting client reports and presentations.
- Creation of deliverables including but not limited to; renewal reports, employee benefit summaries, analysis reports, global broker RFPs, multinational pooling studies and other documentation related to the management of client’s global benefit programs.
- Working in conjunction with client service/sales team in designing and implementing benefit plans, design benefits packages, and or modify existing programs to ensure compliance with local requirements and alignment with client’s desired market position.
- Provides on-going support with client project management including but not limited to; conference calls, webinars and email correspondence with corporate, regional and local HR and/or finance teams, brokers, carriers, payroll providers and other applicable vendor partners.
- Responds to a wide variety of specific International HR-related questions for internal team members or external clients through data research, international resources, and contacts.
- Collaborates with other team members to recommend solutions/provide technical reports on various client issues.
- Manages multiple projects and clients with oversight as needed to ensure the quality and timeliness of client deliverables.
- Creation of technical report’s, RFPs, proposals, renewal reports
- Review and/or creation of international assignment policies and employee handbooks
- Offers input and ideas for improving the effectiveness of products and procedures
- Keeps abreast of all relevant laws, emerging regulations and trends.
- Performs special projects as assigned.
About You
- Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years experience required in an analytical role and international benefits.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Office Products.
- Knowledge of database systems and their functionalities.
- Excellent communication skills written and oral.
- Skillful research abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a cross-functional client service team.
- Detail oriented and solid organizational skills.
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
- Able to handle confidential information with maximum discretion.
Desired:
- Experience in Global Employee Benefits Industry desired.
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, accounting, finance, international studies or human resources.
- Microsoft Excel expertise.
- Knowledgeable in using various analytical approaches to problem solving.
- Specialized knowledge in a global region (Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA); Asia/Pacific; Latin America) strongly preferred.
- Exposure to Finance, Tax, and Legal.
- Fluency in foreign languages desirable.
- Client account management experience.
- Work history in some sector of the insurance industry.
- Insurance brokerage license in state of residence (including Health and Life/Accident).
