Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor (Internal Audit Manager leveling)

Job Location: Boston (Back Bay), 2 days week/in office, 3 days remote

Industry/Company Size: Global, leasing/financial service company headquartered in Japan. This role is part of the Americas group and the audit group sits in Boston.

Must Haves:

• 5+ years operational/internal audit, risk experience from either public accounting or industry.
• At least one of the following certifications (CIA or CPA)
• Willingness to travel up once per quarter. Will be mostly domestic, but could have some international travel (mostly to London and/or Ireland).

Info on job: Role is an individual contributor and will be part of a 9 person audit team. Will be responsible for risk based, operational audits. Job is very consultative in nature. There is no SOX/tic and tie audit work here. Person will act an an internal business consultant. Excellent company culture and work/life balance.

Job Description

Senior Internal Auditor - a highly qualified team player on a 9-person team at a unique audit shop, in a stand-alone Boston location. We offer an environment where people learn and apply their knowledge of business to analyze and apply risk mitigates or realize opportunities. We perform risk-based audits and develop global best practices.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Participate on audits of wholly owned subsidiaries, business units, horizontal reviews, and special projects
• Perform audit testing and document audit procedures following the department's audit methodology
• Document process/workflows and write narratives
• Collaborate with Audit Manager in the development of risk and control matrices and audit programs
• Responsible for communicating findings and suggestions to process owners and management
• Establish effective relationships with business unit staff and management
• Obtain a detailed understanding of each business unit’s processes, market, and industry practices
• Validate resolution of findings
• Perform root cause analysis
