Adecco is looking for an Internal Auditor to join a regional audit team within the financial services and insurance industry.

The Internal Auditor will be actively involved in delivering strategic, regional, and country-level internal audits across areas such as Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Risk Management, as well as other functional processes required by regulatory bodies.

This position also involves stakeholder relationship management at the country level, including regular communication with senior leaders and presenting findings to local Risk, Audit, and Compliance Committees.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Audit Director or Head of Internal Audit in planning audit engagements.
• Execute audit projects independently or as part of a team, depending on complexity.
• Communicate audit findings clearly and constructively with business stakeholders.
• Prepare professional audit reports and offer actionable recommendations.
• Monitor and follow up on open issues and key business initiatives.
• Advise internal clients on process improvements and audit best practices.
• Manage time and resources effectively to meet audit deadlines and budgets.
• Assist in creating presentations and reports for senior management and audit committees.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with auditees and business contacts.
• Stay informed about business developments and changes in operations or structure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required; professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, ACA, or ACCA are a strong plus.
• 2–3+ years of experience in internal or external audit, preferably within financial services or insurance.
• Understanding of functions like Claims, Underwriting, Operations, Risk, or Compliance is advantageous.
• Advanced English, other European languages (e.g. Italian, French, or Spanish) are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with various stakeholders across regions.
• Critical thinking, curiosity, and a proactive mindset.
• Experience with data analytics tools and techniques (e.g., CAATs, ACL) is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel approximately 15% across European locations.
