Responsibilities

The scope, here, is to drive the critical business-IT bridge in next-generation energy system projects, ensuring designs, tools, and data solutions are aligned with evolving market and operational needs. The key responsibilities expected from our consultant might include:

Support projects through high-quality and detail-oriented execution, ensuring accuracy and meeting expectations:

• Support the business in creating designs for new products and advancing the evolution of existing products.
• Define business expectations and map out the information and operational processes shaping the design or evolution of IT tools.
• Model the business data involved in development and assist in building an enterprise data warehouse.
• Analyse and describe solution requirements based on business needs.
  
  

Support projects with rational and data-driven assessments regarding costs, quality, and timelines, providing objective analyses for decision-making:

• Validate the functional analysis provided by IT to ensure the proposed solution fully meets the defined specifications.
• Validate implementations at the end of each sprint by preparing and executing test cases.
• Support the business in specifying and executing user acceptance tests (UAT).
  
  

Support Projects By Facilitating Communication And Reporting Between Stakeholders

• Coordinate the implementation of applications across different domains within cross-functional projects.
• Coordinate integration testing within these cross-functional initiatives.
• Train and assist the business in optimally using developed tools.
  
  

The Experience We Are Actively Looking For

• Minimum six years of relevant experience, ideally in a similar role.
• Strong command of Dutch and/or French, with solid English proficiency.
• Academic background in technical or management engineering, or a master’s degree in science. Not IT.
• Deep knowledge of business process modelling and business information (data) modelling.
• Strong ability to draft and validate functional specifications.
• Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Initial professional experience in the energy sector.
• Independent and efficient working style, with initiative and a solution-oriented mindset.
• Solid project management capabilities.
