OVERVIEW: 

A global hedge fund seeks an infrastructure security architect to join its Information Security team. This individual will play a crucial role in 

enhancing and maintaining the firm's information security program with a focus on infrastructure security, in a dynamic and engaging large-scale IT environment. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY: 

As a member of the Information Security team, you'll collaborate with a diverse range of internal groups to maintain 

the firm’s information security program. 

You’ll work with development and infrastructure teams to perform security reviews of new and existing systems, and 

design, build, and operate innovative tools to improve internal security operations. 

You’ll also oversee high-impact projects such as driving Zero Trust initiatives in our Linux environment, developing security architecture decisions for our Generative AI infrastructure, or building TLS client authentication support into current systems. 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: 

• At least 10 years of comparable work experience in an infrastructure or site reliability engineering role is required, as well as practical experience implementing security measures in real-world scenarios. A degree in computer science (or another technical discipline) is preferred. 

• A deep understanding of core security concepts, including security protocols (TLS, OIDC, FIDO2), cryptography, 

access control, and application security (OWASP Top 10), is required, as is proficiency with at least one programming 

language and knowledge of modern development practices and methodologies. 

• An interest to continuously build domain knowledge, and a willingness to take on projects outside of one’s area of 

expertise, is essential. A champion of security best practices with a curiosity for technology and a desire to learn across a broad range of new and emerging security topics (e.g., security architecture in LLMs and AI), will excel in this role. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial, including the ability to break down complex topics for 

non-technical audiences as the role requires interaction with various technical and non-technical business units across the firm. 

The expected annual base salary for this position is $250,000 to $300,000. Our compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, wellness reimbursement, family building benefits, and a charitable gift match program.
