Infrastructure Architect

Location: Belgium (Hybrid work model - flexible onsite/remote)

We are currently seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to help guide the architecture and integration of key technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement comprehensive IT infrastructure solutions, ensuring integration and scalability.
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into architecture solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to gather system requirements and provide expert recommendations.
• Document architecture decisions, including design rationale and views for various stakeholders.
• Oversee the implementation and integration of new technologies, minimizing risk and ensuring a smooth transition.
• Support the team with expertise in infrastructure-related challenges and ensure systems remain secure, efficient, and optimized.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve infrastructure solutions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture or IT consulting, with a proven track record in large-scale IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of both cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and on-premises infrastructure solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Linux (SUSE, Red Hat, Oracle Linux), and familiarity with Windows Server environments.
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN) and experience with firewalls and load balancers.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Experience with database management and backup solutions (Commvault, Veeam, etc.).
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
