Summary

This role assists in the creation of overall direction, policies, standards and guidelines for the Enterprise IT Infrastructure organization's technology and operational environment. This position will lead the development and maintenance of technical infrastructure strategies focusing on systems integration, stability, reliability, automation and serviceability. This role will ensure all infrastructure solutions align with technology standards and patterns in both the infrastructure and application towers. This position will ensure that infrastructure architectures are developed, maintained and integrated within the processes for strategy development and technology planning relating to organizational planning and budgetary constraints. Responsible for creation of architectural solutions and strategies by leading efforts with cross functional teams Responsible for aligning technology patterns and approaches to business goals, especially from the point of view of customer satisfaction Lead the design and integration of business-critical projects’ technical infrastructure, while overseeing and approving of technical designs from other solution providers, internal and external Ensures that the architectural design of the technology organization and its information systems are aligned to the organization's / business' objectives by partnering with Enterprise Architecture’s and Business specialists’ roadmaps and business plans. Lead efforts to research new technologies that align with industry trends, cost savings and business needs. This includes leading proof-of-technologies, understanding industry suppliers and trends Responsible for participating the collaborative process to create and update the Infrastructure Strategic Roadmap with technology teams, business representatives, and Enterprise Architecture. Ensure projects adhere to the infrastructure standards and align with future strategic infra roadmaps. Participate in strategic relationships and align roadmaps with key infrastructure technology vendor partners Responsible for creating business case for new technologies, and associated project charters, for management approval to implement Provides Buy/Hold/Sunset recommendations for infrastructure portfolio management Present technical issues to technical governance boards when needed for infrastructure technology decisions and communicate those decisions to impacted teams Participates in capacity management process for infrastructure technologies. Assists in the collaborative process driving the Infrastructure Strategic Roadmap with technology team and Enterprise Architecture. Responsible for leading the design, integration and operational aspects of business and IT projects. People Management Promote effective teamwork and resolve interpersonal issues. Provide input to staffing plans at the team levels as pertaining to changes in technology and skills-required Requires minimal supervision to perform job duties. Act as focal point as technical lead for complex projects Mentor technical resources that are interested in an Architectural career Qualifications - External College BS degree in relevant areas of technology is preferred 7-10 years relevant work experience required in Fortune500-level complex infrastructure design, implementation and operation is required 1-4 years performing Infrastructure Architecture for a company of similar technical breadth and scale is required Well rounded understanding of technology, operations and key business processes.
