Summary

The IT Sr. Technical Specialist is responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies, working principally with senior management. As the principal designer for major systems and their subsystems, the specialist utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with functional groups within the IT organization to communicate and clarify business needs.
  • Contribute to the development of long-range system plans and ensure products and services are aligned with business needs.
  • Provide strategic consultancy support to customers in defining or designing business processes and researching and identifying enabling technologies based on customer requirements.
  • Actively seek ways to apply technology to business processes, researching and providing information on technical trends and competitors' practices relevant to the assigned client business.
  • Assess near-term needs utilizing structured interview processes to establish business priorities, consult with technical subject matter experts, and develop alternative technical solutions.
  • Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
  • Ally with other IT functional areas to remain apprised of project status and inform customer management of progress.
  • Keep the IT group's technology and service managers aware of user issues and potential conflicts.
  • Develop, motivate, and provide direction to the technical team to facilitate the creation of a team environment and enable the team to fulfill the department's operational objectives.
  • In specialized systems (e.g., SAP), effectively set options to change the way the program works (configuration responsibilities).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10-13 years of experience


Skills Required:

  • Experience in POMS or other MES systems deployments and maintenance in manufacturing environments.
  • 5 years of experience in recipe design or configuration.
  • 5 years of experience authoring validation documents and familiarity with pharma or medical device SLC processes.
  • Experience with multiple projects and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to implement systems and install network components.


Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience handling applications in life sciences, including validation and cyber requirements.
  • Ability to deploy MES software on Windows servers and Oracle.
