Combine your career goals and sense of adventure by joining our exciting team of employees Royal Caribbean Group is pleased to offer a competitive compensation and benefits package and excellent career development opportunities each offering unique ways to explore the world The Royal Caribbean Group’s Data Analytics and AI Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Engineer Database Developer reporting to the Director of Enterprise MDM & Quality This position will work on-site in Miramar Florida Position Summary We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer who will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining data integration and reporting solutions The ideal candidate will have a strong background in databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle 19c or higher and related technologies Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design develop and implement application changes built on Microsoft SQL server and Oracle 19c database technologies according to business requirements Collaborate with business analysts stakeholders and other team members to gather requirements define data models and design efficient data integration and reporting solutions Optimize and tune SQL queries stored procedures and data transformation workflows to improve performance and scalability Conduct thorough testing and debugging of database procedures and packages to ensure accuracy reliability and adherence to business requirements Document technical specifications data mappings and process flows to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users for data integration and reporting tools and solutions Stay current on emerging trends and best practices in data integration reporting and business intelligence technologies Design develop and implement ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes using SSIS to extract data from various sources transform it according to business requirements and load it into target databases Maintain SSRS reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with timely and accurate insights into key performance indicators and trends Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science Information Systems or related field At least 7 years of professional experience in back-end database development Strong proficiency in SQL querying stored procedures and database design concepts Hands-on experience with SSIS for building complex ETL processes and data workflows Familiarity with data warehousing concepts dimensional modeling and data mart design Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex data and business requirements Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams We know there's a lot to consider As you go through the application process our recruiters will be glad to provide guidance and more relevant details to answer any additional questions Thank you again for your interest in Royal Caribbean Group We'll hope to see you onboard soon!
