The Data Experience Team (DX) operates Big Data systems that collect, process and aggregate Akamai network metrics. DX systems currently receive over 7PB/day of data and process over 5 trillion records per day. DX DevOps group provisions, deploys and monitors Kubernetes clusters to host Akamai data warehouse.

Make a difference in your own way

You'll responsible for creating common services to secure and automate the DX Software Development Life Cycle processes. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, variety on teams and influence company processes.

As a DevOps, You Will Be Responsible For

• Implementing secure Kubernetes services on multi cloud providers. The services include monitoring, logging, scheduling.
• Planning and implementing highly available services, disaster recovery architecture framework
• Implementing GitOps tools and methodology for managing the different products environments deployed to Kubernetes
• Collaborating with stakeholders about progress, roadblocks, and timelines
• Cooperating with our 3rd level engineering support to troubleshoot complex problems that cross team's specialization
• Working in all stages of software release process on all development and production environments
  
  

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be proficient working in Linux/Docker environments, demonstrate solid coding experience in Python and shell scripting
• Have experience in design and implementation of large scale CD solutions
• Have experience in setting up large scale container technology (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Be responsible self-managed, self-motivated, able to work with little or no supervision
• Be a good team player, collaborating with people from across the business and fluent in English
