This is a contract to hire role, 2-3 days a week onsite, San Francisco Bay Area
Build strong cross-functional relationships with leadership to support organizational change, growth, and cultural transitions.
Develop and implement strategies to promote resilience, innovation, and continuous improvement across the workforce.
Advise on employee relations and ensure fair, consistent application of HR policies and compliance with employment laws.
Coach leaders on performance management, disciplinary actions, legal compliance, and termination procedures.
Monitor legal updates and adapt HR policies to remain compliant with changing laws and best practices.
Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and handbooks; train staff on adherence.
Lead performance management initiatives focused on feedback, goal setting, and employee recognition.
Analyze HR metrics related to engagement, turnover, and compensation to guide strategic decisions.
Oversee workplace investigations and ensure fair, consistent handling of employee concerns and policy violations.
Support DEI strategies to create an inclusive culture aligned with organizational values.
Manage benefits programs and HR systems, ensuring competitive offerings that support employee well-being and business objectives.
Drive HR operational improvements using data-driven insights for informed decision-making.
Requirements:
Experience working in a non-profit and a rapid growth environment
Strong with HR Compliance and CA Labor Laws
5+ years of human resources employee relations experience is required
Bachelors Degree, ideally Master's degree
HR Certification - Preferred
Expert relationship-building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside the organization, and leverage influential leadership.
Systems:
Paycom - Strongly preferred, not required
Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
